Mouse-ear Chickweed

Cerastium vulgatum

The tiny(1/3") white flowers of this common weed (often seen mowed low in lawns) are, like those of all chickweeds, deeply cleft. The name refers to the fuzzy hair on the leaves, which are stalkless and less than 1 inch long.  


6-18 inches, sun or partial sun.


Spring-Summer (May-September).

Hairy stems and leaves.
