Rough Cinquefoil

Potentilla norvegica

This cinquefoil has leaves in groups of three, toothed and  similar in shape to leaves of most other cinquefoils. Stems rising from the basal rosette of leaves are hairy. Flowers are small (3/8 inch across) with rounded yellow petals and pointed green sepals that are longer than the petals.  

1-3 feet, sun or partial sun.

Summer-Autumn (June-October).

Flowers are small and sparsely produced on the abundant foliage.
