Wild Columbine

Aquilegia canadensis

Distinctive red and yellow flowers hang from stems above the foliage, which consists of tripartite compound leaves each rounded leaflet of which is heavily indented.

1-2 feet, shade or partial shade.

Spring-Summer (April-July).

Characteristic are the four long, curved spurs at the back of each flower.
