American Germander (Wood-Sage)

Teucrium canadense

Spikes of small pink flowers (each about 1/2 inch long) with a darker throat; the upper lip of the flower is divided and two stamens are exerted through this gap.  Leaves dark green, ovate, pointed, toothed, markedly feather-veined, and sessile (no stem) or near bottom of plant nearly so.


1-3 feet, sun or partial sun.
