Showy Goldenrod

Solidago speciosa

Large, torchlike clusters of tightly packet florets on several flowering heads branching off the main stem. Florets have 10-16 rays. Stems smooth. Leaves along stem are smooth, untoothed, lance-shaped and attach directly to stem; basal leaves are broader, and have a long petiole.

2-6 feet, sun or partial sun.

Summer-Autumn (August-October).
