Sweet Jo-Pye Weed

Eupatorium purpureum

The pale pinkish flowers form a domed panicle. Stems are green, turning black around the leaf and stem joints. Leaves are very large (12 inches or more long; several inches wide) near bottom of plant, pointed, toothed, and form whorls of 3 or 4 around the stem.  


1-6 feet, shade - partial shade.


Summer (July-September).
