Nodding Wild Onion

Allium cernuum

The top of the stems bends over so that the clusters of small pink or white flowers atop the stems "nod." Flowers are small (1/4 inch), clusters about 1 to 1-1/2 inches across. Each flowering stem bears one cluster of flowers, but a plant may produce several stems. Leaves grow from the underground bulb and are long and narrow (less than 1/2 inch wide and often 8 inches long).
