Smooth Phlox

Phlox glaberrima interior

A showy plant, this species has panicles of bright pink 5-petaled flowers, each almost 1 inch across.  Leaves are sessile or clasping the stem and narrowly lanceolate, almost linear, up to 6 inches long near the base and smaller above, with a prominent middle vein and untoothed (entire) leaf margins.

2-5 feet, sun - partial sun.

Spring-Summer (May-July).
