Thyme-leaved Sandwort

Arenaria serpyllifolia

This low plant has tiny flowers and leaves, each only 1/4 inch or less. The five white petals are ovate and bluntly pointed, but have no notch in the end (unlike the chickweeds). It is often recumbent or creeping (or mowed low), but sometimes sends up vertical shoots to 6 or 8 inches high.

Under 1 foot, sun.

Spring-Summer (April-August).
